This Cookie Policy explains how Hutfin Global Technologies, Inc. ("Hutfin," "we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on hutfin.com, hutfin.ai, the "Hutfin" mobile apps, our APIs, and related services (the "Platform"). It should be read together with the Hutfin Privacy Policy (https://dev.hutfin.com/privacy-policy) and Terms of Service (https://dev.hutfin.com/terms), into which it is incorporated.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site or use an app. They recognize your device, remember preferences, enable functionality, and measure performance. We also use related technologies:

Web beacons and pixel tags: small images used to measure usage and campaign performance. Local storage and similar persistent storage: used for features such as saved searches, drafts, and session state. SDKs and mobile identifiers: used in our apps for functionality, analytics, and notifications.

2. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES WE USE

  • (a) Strictly Necessary. Required for the Platform to function: sign-in and session security, load balancing, fraud prevention, payment processing, maintaining a secure session while you complete identity or investor verification, and remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be disabled through our consent tools.
  • (b) Performance and Analytics. Help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it: page and listing traffic, search activity, reliability and error measurement, and detection of anomalous patterns that may indicate fraud. Providers include our internal analytics and Google Analytics.
  • (c) Functionality. Remember your choices: saved searches, preferred language and currency, property alerts, display settings, and notification preferences.
  • (d) Advertising and Targeting. Used to personalize and measure advertising. Hutfin does not currently serve third-party display ads and does not sell personal information. If advertising cookies are introduced, this Policy and the Privacy Policy will be updated in advance, and the opt-outs in Section 5 will be provided before any such use begins. Advertising technologies are never used in connection with investor suitability data.

3. HOW WE USE THESE TECHNOLOGIES

To provide and secure the Platform (authentication, session integrity, fraud and abuse prevention, security tools such as Google reCAPTCHA); to operate marketplace features (listings, media, saved searches, alerts, messaging); to operate investment features (verification session security and investor dashboards); to operate AI Features (session state for AI chat and tools, subject to the AI provisions of the Privacy Policy); to analyze performance and improve the Platform; to remember your preferences; and to comply with legal obligations, including consent requirements.

4. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND SDKs

Some technologies on the Platform are set by third parties acting as our service providers under contract, including: analytics providers (Google Analytics); security providers (Google reCAPTCHA); payment processors (which may include Stripe and PayPal) for checkout and fraud prevention; identity and KYC verification vendors during verification flows; and app platform SDKs (Apple, Google) for mobile functionality. These providers' privacy policies apply in addition to ours; see the Privacy Policy and https://dev.hutfin.com/data-providers for more.

5. YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLS

  • (a) Cookie banner and preference center. Where required (including the EU, UK, and other consent jurisdictions), non-essential cookies are set only after you consent, and you can change or withdraw consent at any time through the preference center linked in the site footer.
  • (b) Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor GPC browser signals as a valid opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device sending the signal, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, for which no uniform standard exists.
  • (c) Browser and device controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and reset mobile identifiers or limit tracking in your device settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, verification sessions, and other core features from working.
  • (d) Analytics opt-out. Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • (e) Advertising opt-outs. If advertising cookies are ever introduced, you will be able to opt out through the preference center, the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" footer link, GPC, and industry tools at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices and https://www.aboutads.info/choices.

6. RETENTION

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them; expiration periods are shown in the preference center. Analytics data is retained per provider settings described in the Privacy Policy (for example, up to 26 months for Google Analytics). Verification-session cookies last only as long as needed to complete and verify the session; the underlying verification records are account records governed by the Privacy Policy, not cookies.

7. INTERNATIONAL COMPLIANCE

We operate our consent tools to comply with applicable law, including the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, the UK PECR and UK GDPR, and comparable consent regimes in other regions, and with U.S. state privacy laws, including honoring GPC where required. Jurisdiction-specific privacy rights and complaint channels are described in Section 20 of the Privacy Policy.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy. Material changes receive at least 30 days' advance notice by email, in-app notice, or website notice, except where a shorter period is required by law. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the current version.
